Words cannot describe the difference meeting Anthony has made in my life. To say that I have seen hell and created more hell from that hell is an understatement. Severe childhood abuse, poverty and many "accidents" left me wounded and going down a pretty dark path that eventually led to prison. To say I was swallowed by the mental health and legal systems is also an understatement. Anyone who has been down that path knows what I mean. I have been through a lot of therapy, rehab, counseling and have been put on various medications that never really helped. They actually made things worse with side effects. Prior to working with Anthony, I had never felt comfortable or safe in my body without being high. I pretty much accepted what the "professional" help told me. They convinced me that I had these hereditary "diseases". Bi-polar, ADHD, addiction and a also PTSD that could only be controlled with drugs and therapy. I really thought the only way to survive was with medications, therapy and 12 step meetings and it was just a matter of time before I found the right combination of meds. In just one conversation, he gave me my power back and in three sessions, he gave me my life back. He taught me about how diet and past trauma affect mental health. I didn't know that many of my symptoms could be coming from the food I ate and that the things that gave me PTSD could be released from my body. I was trying to put that stuff behind me and he showed me how my body was still holding on. He also helped me release it for good. When I met Anthony, I was not an easy person to deal with. I was always on guard. I never felt that way around him, which was weird for me. Anthony is a very calming person to be around and I guess it rubbed off on me. All in all, we did three sessions. I have tried to figure out a way to explain what they were like and the only thing I can say is that a little miracle happened during each one. After the first one I was so calm that it didn't seem real. After the second, there was no more anger. After the third I was a completely different person. Whatever it was that made me so angry and destructive is completely gone. I guess the whole point of this is to say that I no longer feel tense and ready for battle all the time, that I am medication free (and drug and alcohol free) and living and acting like a normal person for the first time in my life. That might not sound like a big deal for some of you but it is for me and my family. If anyone who is reading this is having problems it is worth your while to talk to him. It just might change your life. It changed mine.

Speak Peace with Nonviolent Communication
A few years back, I took an eight week course on Nonviolent Communication, also known as NVC. It was a life transforming experience that really opened up my eyes and heart to how misdirected, confrontational and sometimes brutal our communication … Continue reading
